What is the history of the Wedgwood Florentine Gold pattern?

I recently inherited a large set of Wedgwood dinnerware from my grandmoter, and from the serial numbers on back, discovered that it is the Wedgwood gold Florentine pattern. Apparently it's been discontinued, but that's all I've been able to find out. I'd love to know what years this pattern was produced, and any other information that's available. I know the internet is magical, but surprisingly, there's not much info to be found on this china pattern!
