Why do no western countries stick up for their people?

You cant fight fire with fire and expect to win peacefully.You need to throw water on the situation.Israel may respond with fire but its the same response that has made their country a dangerous place that breeds terrorists out of hatred for them from palestine.If every country always responded in the same way to terrorism them the world would be in even more of a mess than it already is.
