What sort of items are considered counterfeit when being shipped internationally?

I ordered a handbag and wallet that i have been waiting on for about 3 weeks from china. i've been tracking the package and its been in foreign international dispatch for almost 3 weeks. should i be worried? are my items considered as counterfeit or illegal??
