I have a canon sx10 is. Should I upgrade to a DSLR?

I've had my sx10 for about a year, but come on, who doesn't want a DSLR? I know how to use settings such as aperture, ISO, and shutter speed, so I think I would take advantage of all the settings on a DSLR. Also, I'm most likely going on an international trip in a few months and I would like to take some really nice photos. Should I upgrade?
