Trade school vs. college for equine education (or is it equestrian education)?

College always looks better than a trade school on your resume if this is going to be your career. But before you make any huge career decisions, look around your area to see if it can support another riding instructor. Is the horse industry growing around you, creating more jobs? Do places around you hire young, inexperienced instructors. If you want this as an option, but also want something that will pay the bills if you don't get a job, go to the trade school. Do the instructor certification, but also do something else to fall back on. You could do the same at a college, minoring in equestrian sciences, and majoring in something else.
