How do you renew Certified Nursing Assistant license and HHA?

I became certified in 2008. My licence for both CNA and HHA expire in on May 4th of 2011. I haven't worked as a CNA/HHA since i've became licensed, Is it still possible for me to renew my license? I received a confusing letter, which made no sense to me, hopefully somebody knows. THanks so much i'm really hoping i can still keep my license.
