I need Pharmacy career help?

I am a senior in a university majoring in chemistry. I should have my BA by next year. I want to go to a pharmacy school in CA. but I also want to work as a pharmacy tech. I'm not sure if I have to go to a vocational school for that or if a pharmacy will hire me without being a certified tech. If not what would I have to do to get certified so I can work as a tech.
